Terms and Conditions

thefc.cloud is a trading style of The Forrester Corporation Limited (company no. 5943707, registered in England & Wales). These terms govern the supply of hosting, domain, and related services provided by thefc.cloud.

1. Definitions

  • “We”, “us”, “our” refers to The Forrester Corporation Limited trading as thefc.cloud.

  • “Client”, “you”, “your” refers to the individual, company or organisation purchasing services.

  • “Services” means hosting, domain registration, email, cloud storage or related digital services supplied by us.

2. Basis of Contract

  • By ordering services from us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

  • These terms apply exclusively to hosting and cloud services. Project-based design and consultancy terms are governed by thefc.co.uk standard terms.

3. Service Provision

  • We provide hosting and related services using third-party infrastructure providers.

  • While we aim for high availability, no guarantee of uninterrupted service or uptime is given unless a separate Service Level Agreement (SLA) is agreed in writing.

  • We reserve the right to perform maintenance that may cause temporary interruptions.

4. Payment & Renewals

  • Hosting, domain, and email services are billed annually in advance, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Payment must be received before the renewal date to avoid service suspension.

  • Invoices are payable within 14 days of issue. Non-payment may result in suspension or termination of services without further notice.

  • Domains will not be renewed unless full payment has been received before the renewal date.

5. Client Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for ensuring you have current backups of your website and data unless we have agreed to provide backup services separately.

  • You are responsible for ensuring your contact details and billing information are kept up to date.

  • You must use the services lawfully. Hosting cannot be used for illegal, abusive or fraudulent activity.

6. Data & Backups

  • Unless otherwise agreed, we do not guarantee to keep or restore data in the event of corruption, hacking or accidental deletion.

  • Optional backup and recovery services may be provided as a separate, chargeable service.

7. Suspension & Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate services if you fail to make payment or breach these terms.

  • You may terminate hosting services by giving 30 days’ written notice prior to the renewal date.

  • No refunds are given for unused portions of services once a new billing cycle has begun.

8. Domains

  • Domains are registered in your name, subject to the rules of the relevant registrar (e.g. Nominet, ICANN).

  • You are responsible for compliance with registrar terms.

  • We accept no liability for loss of domain names due to non-payment, administrative error, or registrar action.

9. Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law:

    • We are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, or data.

    • Our liability is limited to the total fees paid for hosting services in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to a claim.

  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.

10. General

  • We may update these Terms & Conditions by publishing a revised version at www.thefc.cloud/terms.

  • The laws of England & Wales apply, and disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
